Jim O'Connor

Jim's experience extends to all facets of the law including class action, personal injury, accident, benefits, insurance, professional negligence, commercial law, intellectual property, property loss, workplace conflict, sexual harassment/abuse, wills, trusts and estates, defamation, and construction, lease and franchising disputes.

Jim graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Economics Degree before studying economics and law at Dalhouise University. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1977. He is a regular contributor and guest speaker on Alternative Dispute Resolution at Queen's University, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Bar Admission Course.

He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada; the ADR Institute of Ontario; the ADR Institute of Canada; the Society of Conflict Resolution of Ontario; the Conflict Resolution Network of Canada; the General Insurance Ombudservice of Ontario; and the Ontario Association of Community Access Centres. Jim is also the immediate Past President of the Kingston Centre for Mediation, Education and Development and the co-founder of the Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario.
